About Me

I’m Keifer, a photographer based in Denver Colorado very much enjoying photography again after several years of not shooting at all, shooting anything and everything but enjoying capturing candid moments.

I’ve shot Nikon all my life, and the release of the zf has brought my photography back to life. I’ve collected a solid set of vintage AI-S Nikon lenses which have served me well, although I’m not upgrading to Voigtlanders as my main lens of choice. I have some great AF Nikon G lenses that work perfectly on the zf with the right adapter, but they just don’t feel right there. The zf offers a nostalgia shooting experience where manual focus feels “just right”.

I’m an Open Source Software advocate and loyal darktable user relying on GIMP when I need to “photoshop”. I also run local AI models on my Linux Desktop that gives me the same functionality as some of AI tools now baked into Adobe products.

I’m a tech nerd with many hobbies. I have too many cars, too many motorcycles, too many guitars, and not enough time to enjoy them.
